About the Challenge
The ZANTAC® Chili Challenge is on! Compete with fellow chili enthusiasts across the country and submit your best chili recipe for the chance to participate in a live chili cook-off event, featuring Food Network TV host Anthony Sedlak, in Toronto in February 2010. To participate in the ZANTAC® Chili Challenge, entrants are asked to submit an original chili recipe by clicking on the "Enter Now" link on this website. A photo of the original recipe may be submitted, but is optional.
You can enter your recipe for the ZANTAC® Chili Challenge any time between October 26, 2009 and December 1, 2009. As recipes are submitted, they will be available for viewing on the contest website (www.chilichallenge.ca), where visitors will have the opportunity to review the recipe submissions. Visitors can vote for their favourites from December 2, 2009 to December 18, 2009.
On December 21, 2009, the top 10 recipes will be selected as indicated by consumer votes. The contest judges will evaluate the 10 recipes and select three (3) finalists who will win a trip to Toronto to prepare their chili recipes live at a cook-off event during the week of February 1, 2010. Here, the finalists will participate in a live chili cook-off with Anthony Sedlak, host of the Food Network’s The Main and prepare their chili recipes for an independent judging panel that will evaluate them and declare the ZANTAC® Chili Challenge Grand Prize winner! The Grand Prize is an all-inclusive trip for two (2) to the Mayan Riviera.
